Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra Celebrates Western Music with New March Concert Performances
The Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra is continuing its dynamic new series of extraordinary 2024 concert performances. With about 50 musicians from Lake County and all over the world, their musical talents are brought right here to you each year.
Guest Conductor and Pianist Revealed For No Name Pops' Peter Nero Tribute Concert
Special guest conductor, Carl Topilow, and renowned pianist George Burton, will appear at the No Name Pops’ upcoming concert, Timeless: A Tribute to the Legacy of Peter Nero. The concert will take place at the Kimmel Center on April 20 at 3 p.m. What makes their participation in this performance significant is that they both worked with Peter Nero and were inspired by his talent. Tickets range in price from $51 to $121 and can be purchased at www.ensembleartsphilly.org or by calling 215-893-1999.

The Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra is ready to launch into 2024 with a series of extraordinary concert performances to celebrate love.
On January 18 and 19, the two concerts feature a creative rough and tumble musical performance in the “From Russia with Love” series.
Firelands Symphony Holiday Pops Concert to Feature Jazz Twist
The Firelands Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Carl Topilow, will present its annual holiday pops concert at 4 p.m., Dec. 10, at Sawmill Creek Convention Center, 400 Sawmill Creek Drive in Huron.
This year’s family holiday concert is titled “A Peppermint Twist Christmas” and features favorite holiday classics, as well as non-traditional holiday songs for a sweet twist, according to a news release.
Firelands Symphony Orchestra season opener features Sinta Sax Quartet
The Firelands Symphony Orchestra opens its 2023-24 concert season with the concert Sax in the City at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 16, at Sawmill Creek Convention Center, 400 Sawmill Creek Drive West in Huron, according to a news release.
The concert will feature the full orchestra, and guest artists The Sinta Sax Quartet, the release said.
“We are delighted to welcome the remarkable Sinta Saxophone Quartet to perform with the Firelands Symphony Orchestra,” said Carl Topilow, music director and conductor in the release. “These musicians will amaze and delight our audience with their virtuosity and musicianship.
Summer Charity Concert
Their programme was interspersed by pieces for solo clarinet, played by the famous American Clarinetist Carl Topilow. He most generously gave his virtuoso performance gratis: his first ever in a mediaeval Abbey! He was accompanied on the piano, also with virtuosic skill, by our own local Adam Csenki.
Smmer Pops Concert at McBride Arboretum on Aug. 6
Celebrate the summer season with the return of the Firelands Symphony Orchestra’s annual Summer Pops Concert on Sunday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m at McBride Arboretum on the BGSU campus (from Rye Beach Road). The concert is free and open to the public with generous funding from Albert G. and Olive H. Schlink Foundation, Mylander Foundation, Lange Trust of Sandusky Library, Randolph J. & Estelle M. Dorn Foundation, and Ohio Arts Council.
Cleveland Pops Orchestra announces 2023-2024 season with Hollywood, Broadway, Beatles and more
The Cleveland Pops Orchestra has announced its 2023-2024 schedule. The season starts October 21, 2023, with an homage to great Hollywood composers and continues through June 1, 2024, with a tribute to the armed forces. The six regular season shows start at 8 p.m. on Saturday evenings in Severance Music Center, 11001 Euclid Ave., Cleveland.

Carl Topilow, musical director and conductor of Firelands Symphony Orchestra, has been with the ensemble since 2008, not long after he read an advertisement for a conductor from his home in the greater Cleveland area.
